Miami Heat tied the series 1-1 (NBA Finals)

After a heart-breaking loss in Game 1, Miami Heat bounced back in Game 2 to win the game 100-96. With this win Miami tied their best of seven series 1-1 against the Oklahoma Thunders.

It was an all-night Heat controlled ball game as they managed to pull away early on. Four of their first 5 players scored double digits led by LeBron James with 32 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Chris Bosch also came up with a big game especially in rebounding where he got 15 (7 offensive and 8 defensive) rebounds and contributing 16 points and 1 assists. Shane Battier also had a blast with 17 points, 15 coming from 3 point baskets.

“I knew we needed more of Chris Bosh … he was sensational. We needed every bit of his “big” tonight and that’s what we got. He gave us a lot in the paint and we need that again and again and again.” said by Miami Heat head coach Eric Spoelstra

Although the Thunder managed to rally on the 4th and almost tied the game, maybe it’s not the night for Kevin Durant and his team as he missed his shot seconds before the game ends. Durant collected a total of 32 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assist. Russel Westbrook who had a not so good start on early quarters bounced back towards the end to finish the game with 27 points , 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Other starting 5 scored in single digits.

With the series tied 1 a piece, expect Game 3 to be another war. And since Miami will be playing in their home court, Oklahoma should work harder in and outside the paint to win that game. Am sure Miami will not give the Thunder easy basket especially that they have the backing of home crowd.

Game 3 of the NBA Finals will be on Sunday, June 17 (Monday morning in Manila) at the American Airlines Area in Miami.
