Malacanang suspends work in public and private sector due to heavy rains

After typhoon Gener exited Philippine area of responsibility a week ago, heavy rains still continues pour on many parts of Luzon and Metro Manila. Several areas in Metro Manila and nearby provinces are still submerged in water causing the government to suspend classes and office work in both public and private companies. According to PAG-ASA there is no typhoon inside the Philippine area of responsibility, and the rains are brought by south west monsoon and shallow low pressure area in the northern part of the country.
