List of class suspensions for August 9,2012

With heavy rains still continue to pour in several parts of Metro Manila and nearby provinces, local official of those areas have decided to extend suspension of classes until tomorrow and others even up to Friday August 10,2012.

Below is the list of areas where classes (both Public and Private) are suspended for tomorrow August 9,2012

1. Mandaluyong City (All Levels)
2. Makati City (All Levels)
3. Navotas City (All Levels)
4. Municipality of Pateros (All Levels)
5. Taguig City (All Levels)
6. City of Manila (All Levels)
7. Caloocan City (All Levels)
8. Pasig City (All Levels)
9. San Juan City (All Levels)
10. Paranaque City (All Levels)
11. Marikina City (All Levels)
12. Malabon City (All Levels)
13. Quezon City (All Levels, until Friday August 10, 2012)
14. Pampanga (whole province, All Levels)
15. Laguna Province (All Levels)
16. Valenzuela City (Pre-School to High School)
17. Pasay City (Pre-School to High School)
18. Las Pinas (Pre-School to High School)
19. Antipolo City (Pre-School to High School)
20. San Mateo, Rizal (Pre-School to Highschool)
21. Olongapo City (Pre-School to Highschool)

*Update : Malacanang has declared suspension of classes in all levels in NCR, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Bulacan, Pampanga, Bataan, Zambales, Pangasinan and Tarlac which supercedes above declarations by different local government officials.

Manila floods top topic on Twitter

Filipinos are known to be social media fanatics. May it be in Facebook or Twitter, Filipinos can always make a way to show their presence. And with the current flooding and heavy rains being experienced in several parts of Luzon especially in Metro Manila, Pinoys once again turned to social media to share their sentiments, encouragements and to ask help for those who are mostly affected.
