In the press release posted on their official Facebook page, Airphil Express said they will be flying the route of Manila – Basco, Batanes starting May 1, 2013. This was brought by “public clamor for a new gateway to this idyllic, and rustic island-province.”
APX will be flying 3 times a week every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from NAIA Terminal 3 to Basco Airport. Flight schedule will be 5:05AM Departure from Manila with arrival at 6:50AM in Basco and return flight on the same day at 8:40AM-10:20AM Basco to Manila.
This new destination will add to the current 32 domestic flights being shared by PAL and Airphil Express which includes Busuanga, Butuan, Clark, Cagayan de Oro, Calbayog, Catarman, Caticlan, Cotabato, Dipolog, Kalibo (operated by both PR and 2P), Dumaguete, Legaspi, Masbate, Naga, Ozamiz, Puerto Princesa, Roxas, Surigao, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Zamboanga, Pagadian, Jolo, Tawi – Tawi, Bacolod, Cebu, Davao, General Santos, Iloilo, Laoag, Tagbilaran and Manila.
