Miami Heat forces a Game 7, equalizes the series 3-3

nbafinals2013game6And it’s now back to clean slate.

After winning 103-100 in an overtime game today, Miami Heat forces a do or die Game 7 in this year’s NBA finals. It’s the heroic 3-pointer by Ray Allen in the last 0.05 seconds of the 4th quarter that tied the game and pushed them for an overtime.

This for me is the best game of their Best of 7 Finals Series having great plays from both teams. Although the Spurs managed to pull away in the 3rd quarter with 12 point lead, Heat came back in the fourth to close the gap and force the game into an overtime. It was a series of momentum exchanges for the 2 teams that left the viewers and spectators hanging on their seats.

San Antonio Spurs recaptured the lead, 3-2 (NBA Finals)

manuginobilinbafinalsgame5One more win and they will be crowned again as NBA world champions.

Coming from a lost in their last game, the San Antonio Spurs came in determined to win today’s game being their last in their home court at AT&T Center in San Antonio Texas. Spurs’ coach Greg Popovich made a good decision in putting one of his big stars Manu Ginobili in the starting 5. Ginobili put a valiant effort in winning this game contributing 24 points, 2 rebounds and 10 assists. Danny Green who also scored 24 points is also a key factor for their win having 6 out of 10 3-pointers to capture the finals record for the most 3-pointers.

Heat tied the series 2-2 (NBA Finals 2013)

2013nbafinalsgame4It’s another show by Miami’s Big 3.

After not being in their zone in Game 3, Miami’s Big 3, LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade again proved their dominance and superstar capabilities. With their combined 85 points, the 3 have propelled the Heat their win at 109-93 to tie the series 2-2.

Yes, we can call it a revenge of the Texas massacre in Game 3 (after loosing big in Game 3) and it’s a sweet revenge as the Heat’s lead players really put their best efforts today to get the win.

Spurs extinguished the Heat to take the lead 2-1

greenandnealgame3nbafinalsThere are no big stars to a team who is ready and determined to win.

This is what San Antonio Spurs proved after winning big in their NBA Finals Game 3 against the Miami Heat. After losing in Game 2 (also with a big margin), Spurs bounced back and trashed whatever Heat did in their last game. Winning in their home court with 36 points lead at 113-77, Spur again ascertain their track record of not loosing back to back.

San Antonio took control of the whole game leading every quarters of it.

OPM of the week, Ikaw at Ako by Johnoy Danao

This week’s OPM Friday, Nite Writer features the song of Johnoy Danao. Ikaw at Ako is one of his songs that I got to like. I first heard it in one of the documentary programs of ABS-CBN and it easily captured my heart. Melody wise, rhythm wise and lyrics wise, the song is an ear orgasmic piece. Very soothing and very meaningful.

It tells the story of people who found their partners in life and their lives together from the start till the end. How love can conquer everything especially when it is shared by 2 people, thus Ikaw at Ako.

Here’s the official music video of Johnoy Danao’s Ikaw at Ako.

Be touch and be move by his music. Enjoy! And let’s continue supporting OPM Music and artists.

It’s 1-0 for the Spurs in 2013 NBA Finals

tonyparkergame1aGame 1 went to the San Antonio Spurs, thanks to that miracle jumper (after a slide) from Tony Parker that nailed the game in-front of disappointed Heat fans on their own home court. That crucial point which Parker did at the last 5.2 seconds of Game 1 gave the Spurs the edge in their best of 7 finals series.

It was not an easy game though, as the LeBron James’ led Heat led the Spurs at the end of every quarter from 1st to 3rd. It was in the 4th quarter that Gregg Popovich’s team started to pull off even leading the Heat by 7 points at the 2:13 mark in the 4th quarter. But that 7-point lead was again brought down to 2 after James made a layup shot and after Ray Allen’s 3 points from the free-throws. With Bosh fouling Tim Duncan, the lead was again up to 4 points at 1:08 of the 4th. Heat still didn’t want to gave up and managed to add another 2 points courtesy of Lebron James’ free-throws via a personal foul from Ginobili.
