Rico Blanco and Chito Miranda collaborated via their band’s hit songs

In a rare event, 2 OPM icons Rico Blanco and Parokya ni Edgar’s Chito Miranda collaborated in one song to give OPM followers some delight and entertainment. The collaboration happened in Rico’s home and was made out of “trip”. Chito, in one of his tweets said, it was just an accidental recording when he went to Rico’s house and decided to record the song they want.

Although it was just a “trip-trip” session for the two, it resulted in a good music which gave the song a more fresh vibe. The 2 singers mashed-up 2 of their band’s hit songs, Rivermaya’s Panahon Na Naman and Parokya ni Edgar’s Harana.

The video was then uploaded by Rico on his RicoBlancoTV youtube channel which currently reaps praises and good feedbacks from its viewers. It was also well received in social media sites like Twitter and Facebook as netizens shared positive tweets and comments on the video.

Admittedly, I am big supporter of Rico Blanco and Parokya ni Edgar’s music and seeing them both in one video sharing their music is one reason to be grateful and be hopeful that OPM and Pinoy Pop Music is still so much alive. We just need to appreciate it more than foreign songs and those K-Pop phenomenons.

May Juan Labor Day Seat Sale from Cebu Pacific

cebupacpisofareI am really amused by the marketing slogans of Cebu Pacific. Every time they launch a new promo or seat sale that is, they never failed to come up with catchy names that really attracts attention from it’s avid customers.

As the country celebrates Labor Day today, Philippines’ largest budget airline introduces their newest seat sale dubbed as “May Juan is Labor Day”.

Viral video of the week : Gwiyomi Rene Requiestas look alike

It seemed that this new Korean craze have taken over social media yet again. Gwiyomi video has taken not only the social media but traditional media also by storm, with Vice Ganda immitating it on their noon-time show Its Showtime. Different kind of people, males, females, the not so-males and kids have also posted their version of this new trend but this one video have caught my attention.

The video was originally uploaded on Facebook page FB Hottest Girl (I just re-uploaded it on my Youtube account). Currently it was shared 1,108 times and was liked by 640 people on Facebook with more than 400 comments all talking about how funny the video is.

When I watched the video, can’t help also but laugh at his antics which is very similar to the moves of the late comedian Rene Requiestas. The way the late comedian moved when his doing comedy acts is very similar to this man in the video, that is why one will not help it but burst into laughter seeing his Gwiyomi version.

By far, this is the funniest Gwiyomi video I ever seen and I will not be surprised if he will also get more media attention because he is really funny. Enjoy watching, and keep on laughing.
