After finding the body of Captain Jessup Bahinting yesterday, his Nepalese co-pilot Kshitiz Chand’s dead body was also found today. Early this morning of Thursday August 23,2012, Costguard confirmed the recovery of the body of Chand.
Report says that a fishing boat discovered the floating body of the co-pilot near the area where the plane crashed last Saturday. The body was immediately brought to the shore for identification. It was the father of Chand who identified that the body was indeed his son’s.
Following the recovery of all the dead bodies of the crashed Cesna plane, authorities have concluded their search and retrieval operations today. Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin said that the Task Force Kalihim will no longer conduct search and retrieval operations in the area. He also said the CAAP (Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines) will be conducting investigations as to what caused the plane crash.
