Miriam hits Malacañang on Puno probe

At the start of the Senate Committee hearing on Puno probe today, committee chairwoman Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago throws fire on Malacañang for allegedly banning certain cabinet officials to attend the hearing.

On her opening statement, she read what according to her was an “excuse letter” signed by Executive Secretary Pacquito “Jojo” Ochoa, detailing questions on jurisdiction and purpose of the hearing. She even called drafter of the letter as “duling” for mis-interpreting Senate procedures.

“Kung sino man ang abogadong nagdraft nitong sulat na ito, dapat patalsikin ni Presidente Aquino dahil duling”  – Sen. Santiago said.
