Technology giant Google has opened its Philippine office with the inauguration of its new unit in Makati. In the launch they said Philippines is an important market in the South East Asian region because of its increase in internet population.
Google’s Managing Director for Southeast Asia Julian Persaud, said Philippines is a key country in SE because of the country’s digital economy and tech-driven population. She also added, the Philippine office will allow Google’s better engagement with the local users, partners and advertisers.
With this opening of their Philippine office, they are currently hiring staffs to man their operations in the country. Google’s country manager for the Philippines Narciso Reyes said, they are excited to deepen their investment in the country.
He also said they are committed to provide better service to the Filipino users and to help small and large business to grow not only locally but also globally to contribute to the growing Philippine economy. And he also added their vision for Google to be part of every Filipinos lives and become partner in the development of local communities, culture and business.
