After breaking into the 6,300 mark just last Friday, the Philippine Stocks Exchange again break its own record today as it surpasses the 6,400 mark. This is the 14th record high for the PSE this year and the 75th record high for the Aquino Administration.
PSEi index closed at 6,435.98 up by 117.37 points or 1.86% from its previous closing last Friday. This is one of the biggest jumps in stock market value this year, thus making stocks investor more happy and inspired. And it can really be said also that investor confidence in the country today is really high to propel this gains in the stock market.
All other indices are also in the upward position with Holding Firms index getting the highest increase today at 2.57% at the closed value of 5,679.20. All Shares index was also up at 4,040.92 adding 1.61% or 63.85 points. Financials index closed at 1,659.94 up by 1.43% or 23.37 points and Industrial index up by 1.56% or 149.20 points at 9,725.20. Services index adds 34 points or 1.81% at 1,914.09, Mining in oil climbs 1.73% or 376.68 points at 22,177.77 and Property index is the least with 1.0% increase of 26.06 points at 2,623.70.
Advancers almost tripled the Decliners at 130, 50 respectively while 35 were unchanged. Total volume turnover was 3,132,511,959 with the value of 11,181,556,412.
