Based on the latest SWS survey conducted on Feb 15-17, just right after the start of official campaign period for the National candidates, Team PNoy leads UNA candidates getting 9 out of 12 possible Senate seats. According also to the survey, it is Team PNoy candidates who dominates the top 6 ranking where Sen. Loren Legarda, Sen. Chiz Escudero and Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano getting the top 3 spots.
The survey also showed improvements on 2 Team PNoy candidates Bam Aquino and Rep. Sonny Angara who are now part of the top 12. Angara who previously ranked 13th on the Jan2013 survey is now on the 11th-12th spot while Aquino jumped 5 places from 15th to 9th-10th place.
Meanwhile, the only 3 Team UNA candidates who placed in the top 12 were Vice Presidential daughter Nancy Binay at 7th, JV Ejercito at 9-10th and Migz Zubiri at 11-12th rank.
This pre-election survey was conducted using face-to-face interviews of 1,200 registered voters nationwide. The error margins used were ±3% for national and ±6 for area percentages
With this result of the survey, it only showed people’s strong support for the Aquino administration. It’s a clear indication that many people believed in the candidates with association to the President and who shared the same vision with him for our country. Team UNA’s political ad, maybe putting doubts to the administration “Daang Matuwid” campaign but with this survey outcome it seemed people are not buying in.
