This is what San Antonio Spurs proved after winning big in their NBA Finals Game 3 against the Miami Heat. After losing in Game 2 (also with a big margin), Spurs bounced back and trashed whatever Heat did in their last game. Winning in their home court with 36 points lead at 113-77, Spur again ascertain their track record of not loosing back to back.
San Antonio took control of the whole game leading every quarters of it.
It was Spurs’ great 3-point shooting that sealed the gamed. With their record 16 3-pointers in this game, Popovich’s team easily blew away the game and “basketed” the win. Danny Green and Gary Neal led the Spurs with their combined 13 3-pointers to score a total of 27 points (7 3-pointers) and 4 rebounds, and 24 points (6 3-pointers), 4 rebounds and 3 assists respectively. The Spurs’ big 3, (Parker, Duncan and Ginobili) may have little contribution in field goals but they helped greatly in rebounds and assists. Tony Parker contributed 8 assists, while Ginobili got 6. Tim Duncan scored 12 points with 14 rebounds and 1 assist.
Meanwhile, on Heat’s side, James’s was not in his tempo as he only scored 15 points with 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Their game 2 hero Mario Chalmers is nowhere in the score board as he scored no points. Heat was led by D.Wade with is 16 points and 5 assists.
With this murder win by the San Antonio Spurs and with Game 4 again scheduled at AT&T Center in San Antonio Texas, will they seal a 3-1 series lead? Or will Coach Spoelstra’s men heat-up again and tie the series?
Game 4 will on Thursday June 13 9PM ET (June 15 Friday, Manila Time).
