The Philippine stocks exchange is again on a winning side after it gained 1.7% jump from its previous close yesterday. The PSEi closed today at 6,554.62 or 110.81 points higher that yesterday’s 6,443.81. This is the 2nd day that the PSE index is up brought about by good market standings of other regional stock markets.
All other indices were also in the green zone following the good market outlooks in the region. The broader All Shares index is up by 1.41% or 55.69 points at 3,992.61. The biggest gainer in today’s trading Industrial index added 2.62% or 250.88 points to close at 9,841.67. It is followed by the Holding Firms which closed higher by 1.73% or 100.67 points at 5,932.54. Property index added 39.54 points or 1.57% at 2,562.33. Financials, Services and Mining and Oil index meanwhile were also up by less than 1% at 0.89%, 0.70% and 0.18% respectively to close at 1,552.64, 2,058.54, and 14,638.56.
Most active in today’s trading is Universal Robina Corp which was up by 6.47% followed by SM Prime Holdings, Inc at 6.13%. Biggest Gainer went to Pacifica, Inc with the value of 3,800 up by 15.15% and the biggest loser was MJCI Investments Inc down by 20.45% at 67,100.
Total advancers were 98, decliners were 49 and 45 were unchanged. Total volume traded was 859,189,609 with the value of 7,427,044,211.
