Malacañang released pictures of PNoy with Napoleses

napoleswithpnoyAfter President Aquino’s picture with Janeth Napoles’ daughter Jeane went viral in social media, Malacanang Palace today released the same photo along with PNoy’s picture with the pork barrel queen herself Janeth Lim-Napoles and his husband Jimmy Napoles.

According to online sources, the photo was taken in Cebu during the celebration of St. Pedro Calungsod’s canonization last November 2012. It was during the event that the Napoles family had a chance to take photo ops with the President along with other visitors.

In a statement Presidential Communications Group head Ricky Carandang said that they maintained their claim that the President doesn’t know Janeth Napoles personally. The picture will show that it was coincidence that they were both present in that event and that the President just gave in to some photo ops with some of the attendees including the Napoles family.

Based on some reactions on social media, many sees no malice in the picture knowing a President is really a photographed person same with other high profile personalities. But others were also anxious to see them in one photo knowing how Napoles was received in Malacanang when she surrendered.

As for me, the President being one of the most known personalities in the country, it is really possible for him to be side by side with people he don’t know especially in a public event. With Filipino’s innate love to be photographed especially with celebrities or known personalities I see know malice with this one. If it was a private event then it might have been different and it will really ignite some anxieties and suspicions. And the fact that Malacanang released those photos means they have nothing to hide regarding PNoy and Napoles.
