Sec. Roxas released statement on Sen. Bong Revilla’s allegation

Months after being charged of plunder because of his alleged connection to Janeth Napoles’ Pork Barrel Scam, Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., today issued his privilege speech, denying all accusations against him. In his speech he denied connection to Napoles and the whistle-blowers saying he has nothing to do with them at all.

But more than countering all the accusations and allegations, Sen. Revilla Jr. brought up other issues that looked likely more of a “drag me to hell” scenario. He accused President Aquino III of meddling with the Corona Impeachment through a meeting at the Bahay Pangarap in Malacañang. And with the President, he also brought up the name of DILG Sec. Mar Roxas, whom he tagged as “Boy Pick-up” because allegedly, it was the Sec. who took him to the President.

Because of Revilla’s accussation, Roxas was sought for reaction during the National Day of prayer and Solidatiry event in Malacañang also today, but he just brushed off the issue. Hours later, Sec. Roxas issued a statement regarding Sen. Revilla Jr’s privilege speech, and below is his official press statement on the issue.
