In a press conference this evening, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak has confirmed that the missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 has ended in the southern part of the Indian Ocean.
Razak based his statement from the analysis of UK AAIB (Air Accidents Investigation Branch) and Inmarsat’s satellite data stating MH370’s last position before it lost contact. According to the satellite data “MH370 flew along the southern corridor, and that its last position was in the middle of the Indian Ocean, west of Perth”.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister also said that the Malaysian Airlines have already talked to the families of the passenger and crew informing of the latest developments. Here’s the text message of Malaysian Airlines;
“We deeply regret that we have to assume beyond any reasonable doubt that MH370 has been lost and that none of those on board have survived. As you will hear in the next hour, from Malaysia’s Prime Minister, we must now accept all evidence suggests the plane went down in the Southern Indian Ocean.”
