Thousand runners supported DZMM’s color fun run

IMG_20140504_080623_1At last after so many months, was able to get back in running. Last Sunday at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, DZMM’s Tulong Na, Tabang Na, Tayo Na, Takbo Na Color Fun Run was held. It was attended by thousands of runners including celebrities like, Eric Tai, Roxanne Barcelo, Matteo Guidicelli, Karylle and his husband Yael Yuzon, Diana Zubiri, Julius Babao, former Goin Bulilit stars Jairus Aquino, Sharlene San Pedro and Alexa Ilagan.

Before the start of the run, a mini program was held hosted by Winnie Cordero and Awel Paz wherein Pinoy Biggest Loser contestants were asked to lead the warm up exercises. And after the warm-up exercises, ABS-CBN news head Ging Reyes signaled the start of the run at exactly 5:45AM.

Organized by DZMM and Runrio Inc, the color fun run was created to collect funds to aid the education of children in the Yolanda hit areas. DZMM will use the proceeds of the fun run to give scholarship grants to deserving kids affected by the recent typhoon Yolanda in the Visayas region.

It was indeed a fun run because I did not only got to enjoy the color mist in some parts of the lap but the fact that I was able to help in my little ways in bringing a deserving kid to school and help in some ways to give them the education that they deserve, is more than enough reason to be part of this event. It was a really a fulfilling experience to get enjoy and fit and at the same time be of help to your countrymen.
