It seemed San Antonio Spurs absorbed all the Heat of Miami as they took NBA Finals’ Game 1. The Tim Duncan led team beats the defending champions 110-95 to take the Game series lead 1-0.
It was an emotionally charged game for the San Antonio Spurs fans as they were trailing Miami in the early minutes of the 4th quarter. But the Spurs managed to came out with a 31-9 run caused by the Ace triple shooter Danny Green, who scored three 3-pointers. Leonard and Parker also contributed to the Spurs’ good triple shooting which sealed their Game 1 win. Spurs managed to score 13 of their 17 ball possessions in the 4th quarter.
Tim Duncan led the scoring for the Spurs with his 21 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists. Tony Parker also had a great night with 19 points, 0 rebounds and 8 assists and Manu Ginobili who scored 16 points, with 5 rebounds and 11 assists. While Miami beats San Antonio of Free Throw shooting percentage 81.8%-77.3%, Spurs overpowered Miami in Field Goal and 3-Points shooting percentage. San Antonio had 58.8% compared to 47.4% in FG% and 52.0% against 41.4% in 3FG%.
It may not be a good night for the Heat as LeBron James suffered from cramps but he still managed to lead the team with his 25 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists.
Could this be a sign of Championship Ring for Duncan and Parker this time? Let’s wait and see.
