After their stellar performance in Game 3, which dumped the Heat’s chance to tie the series, San Antonio Spurs again proved that they are determined to derail Miami’s 3-feat dream and became this year’s NBA 2014 Finals Champions. In their game today, Spurs trashed Heat 107-86 to add another lead in their finals series 3-1.

Led by Kawhai Leonard who scored double-doubles, 20 points and 14 rebounds with 3 assists, Spurs is now only 1 win away from dethroning NBA’s defending champions, the Miami Heat. San Antonio dominated the whole game, outscoring Heat in the 1st 3 quarters and leading as much as 25 points in the early minutes of the 4th . Although Miami tried to comeback evident by leading the 4th quarter scoring 29-26, it’s not enough to patch the big lead established by the Spurs in the previous quarters.

San Antonio Spurs also beats Miami Heat in all of the 3 statistical fields. Spurs topples Heat in the FG% 57.1% – 45.1%. In terms of the 3FG%, Spurs also edges Heat 42.9%-40.9%. And also in FT% 72.0% – 65.0%.

In a statement Spurs head coach Greg Popovich said he was pleased with their teams performance and how they did well in the Heat’s home court. And that he hopes, they will do the same in the next Game to be played in their own court in San Antonio.

Meanwhile, Miami’s coach Erik Spoelstra commended his team’s good performace. He said it was just unexpected for the Spurs to have played such great game. Miami was led again by its superstar LeBron James who scored 28 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists.Chris Bosch and Dwayne Wade were also in double digits at 12 points and 10 points respectively.

Should the Spurs win the next game, that will be their 5th NBA title since their last in 2007 (1999, 2003, 2005, 2007). But will Miami Heat gave it to Spurs just that or will they extend it to a Game 6?

Do or die Game 5 will be on Sunday (Monday in Manila) at the AT&T Center in San Antonio Texas.
