Last June 27, 2014, the Professional Regulation Commission finally released the results of the May 2014 Nursing Licensure Exam. Twenty-three working days after the exam, PRC announced that from 29,188 Nursing Board examinees 11,225 or 38.45% have passed. And from that 11,225 board passers, it was UST’s Ma Margaret Benosa Sanchez who topped the exam.
Margaret Sanchez got an average of 86% to become this batch’s top notcher. She was followed by another UST graduate Ariel Bitong Jr who got an average of 85.40% with University of Caceres’ Tiffany Jeanne Severo. Top 3 is also from UST alongside Adventist University of the Philippines and Cebu Normal University graduates. And the 4 passers in the Top 4 were also from the UST. It was a clear domination for UST, as they got 23 out of 64 passers who penetrated the top 10.

While UST dominates the Top 10, West Visayas State University – La Paz, Cebu Normal University and Siliman University tops the schools with the most number of passers. The 3 schools got a perfect score of 100% passing rate, which means all of their graduates who took the May 2014 exam passed, UST came in 2nd with 99.55% passing percentage. And on 3rd place is Chinese General Hospital Colleges who got 66 passers out of 67 or 98.51%.
