Philippine Stocks Exchange main index again rose to its highest level this year after it closed today’s trading at 7,206.02, 1.40% or 99.46 points higher than yesterdays. This is PSEi’s 3rd day in the positive territory since Monday September 1.
All other indices were also in the green territory today adding more than 1%, except for Holding Firms and Mining and Oil which added 0.66% and 0.76% respectively. Holding Firms index closed at 6,303.14 while Mining and Oil index at 17,738.97.
Industrial index had the most increase at 1.76% or 193.30 to close at 11,147.67. Services index followed next at 1.72% closing at 2,252.44, an addition of 37.98. Property index on the other hand added 1.49% to close at 2,737.79. Financials also added more than 1% at 1.07% or 17.47 points ending at 1,650.38. The broader All shares index meanwhile closed at 4,252.99, 1.05% or 44.17 points higher.
Advancers almost doubled decliners at 105-69 with 58 unchanged. Most active stocks was from PLDT ending at the value of 1,559,328,670. Top gainers was lead by FEU adding 37.65% while top losers was lead by ISLAND INFORMATION AND TECHNOLOGY, INC. decreasing 16.54%
Total volume turnover is 3,168,191,479 with the value of 12,739,245,356.93.
