Malacañang declared October 6 regular non working holiday

Malacanang Palace on Tuesday September 16, 2014 declares Monday October 6, 2014 as a regular non-working holiday throughout the country in observance of the Eidul Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice.

The declaration was based on Proclamation no. 875 signed by the President through Executive Secretary Pacquito last September 12, 2014.

Eidul Adha is one of the two greatest feasts of Islam. The date of the festival was determined based on the recommendation of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) through the declaration made by Saudi Arabia’s highest religious body.
