After 2 years of running on Philippine TV, hit morning Teleserye “Be Careful with My Heart” is set to end its story on November 28.
In an interview with Maya (Jodi Sta. Maria) and Ser Chief (Richard Yap) on TV Patrol Thursday, the 2 main cast announced the final episode of their show.
Be Careful with My Heart started on July 2012 as an experimental series for the Jodie-Richard Yap tandem. It has then captured the hearts of Filipino viewers making it the most watch morning TV show in Philippines toppling the longest running variety show Eat Bulaga.
Be Careful’s story evolved with a “probinsyana” lady Maya, who was victimized by an illegal recruiter then ended up to be a nanny to the youngest kid of an aviation company executive Richard Lim. During her stint as a nanny to the Lim mansion, Maya went back to school to pursue her dream of becoming a flight attendant.
Fast forward, May and Ser Chief feel for each other and ended up marrying which became one of the most highest rated episodes.
For its 2-year run, Be Careful was able to showcase to its closest the values of Filipino family. From superstitious beliefs to traditional Filipino customs and traditions, the show is successful in beaming how Filipinos value their close family ties. And that is the show’s main strength, it was able to make viewers relate to the story.
