SMART expands 30MB Free Internet promo to Postpaid subscribers


After launching its 30mb free internet promo for their prepaid subscribers last September 26, SMART communications announces today October 3, the expansion of the promo that will include all postpaid and broadband subscribers.


In a press statement published on their website, SMART says “they are expanding their free Internet offer to all of their prepaid subscribers to also cover all their postpaid and broadband subscribers. Furthermore, they are extending the duration of the free mobile Internet promo across all subscribers – postpaid, prepaid and broadband – from November 30 through the Christmas season until January 5, 2015.”

Together with the new scope of their Free Internet promo, SMART also announces the launch of their “UNLI All You Can Facebook Access” on top of the 30MB Free mobile internet. SMART subscribers can now enjoy unlimited Facebook access starting October 3 and it will not be deducted on the data usage of their free 30mb daily. Access to Wikipedia is also included on the unli access on top of the free 30mb usage.

In a statement, SMART’s Executive Vice President and Head for Wireless Consumer Business Charles A. Lim said “This is our way of thanking our subscribers as well as a response to the requests of our postpaid and broadband subscribers to be included in the special offer. It is part of our overall strategy in accelerating mobile Internet adoption and usage in the country.”

For postpaid and broadband subscribers who want to avail this free mobile internet promo, all they have to do is text FREE to 9999. A confirmation text message will be sent to notify successful registration. Once registered, they can now enjoy free data volume package of up to 30MB and good for 24hrs.
