After winning TTG’s 2014 Destination of the Year award, Philippines was again hailed as one of the top destinations of the world, this time by the Conde Nast Traveler website.

In an article posted Monday October 20 on their website, Conde Nast listed Palawan as rank #1 in their 2014 Reader’s Choice Awards Top 30 Islands in the World list.

Palawan was given a rating of 88.750 by Conde Nast Readers to top the list of world’s best island destinations which include Santurini of Greece, Bora-Bora of French Polynesia, Maui of Hawaii and the Maldives Islands.

In the article Palawan is described as one of the small islands (from the 7,107 islands) of the Philippines which is home to one of the new seven natural wonders of the world, the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River.

Aside from Palawan, another Philippine pride also made it to the list of world’s top islands. Boracay was listed in number 12 with the ratings of 82.683. This only proves that Philippines is really one of the best destinations in the world when it comes to islands and beaches. It can also be used by the Department of Tourism to boost it’s Visit the Philippines 2015 Campaign.
