Malacañang declares July 6 as regular non-working holiday for Eid’l Fitr

Malacañang on Monday July 4 has declared July 6, Wednesday as regular non-working holiday throughout the country in celebration of the Muslim Feast of Ramadan or Eid’l Fitr.

In Proclamation No.6, s.2016 signed President Rodrigo Duterte through Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, Malacañang declared July 6 as regular non-working holiday throughout the country to give every Filipinos time to celebrate with their muslim brothers and sisters their holy feast of Eid’l fitr.

Under RA 9177, the Feast of Ramadan or Eid’l Fitr is declared a national holiday to give the entire nation the opportunity to join the entire muslim community in observance and celebration of the Feast of Ramadan or Eid’l Fitr which is a very important feast in their religious calendar.
