Cleaveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James made a stellar game again to push the Cavs ahead of the series versus Golden State Warriors 2-1.

In today’s Game 3 held at Cleaveland’s homecourt, James scored 40 points with 12 rebounds and 8 assist to lead his team to its 2nd win in their best of 7 NBA finals against the Warriors.

Cav’s generally controlled the 1st 3 quarters of the game leading Warriors with as much as 17 points at the end of the 3rd. Matthew Dellevadova helps James in getting their 2nd win with his 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. With the absence of Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love, James and Dellevadova’s tandem delivers to get the series lead for the Cavaliers.

Meanwhile, it was the league and finals MVP Steph Curry who leads the Warriors. The safe lead by the Cavs from the 1st quarter to the early parts of the 4th was shaken by the furious comeback of the Warriors courtesy of Curry. His 3-point shooting gave the Warriors it’s needed boost and hope to salvage the game and take the series lead. With his 3 points shoot at the 2:45 minute mark in the 4th quarter, Steph was able to almost tie the game 80-81. But James and Dellevadova took charge again and slowly cemented their game 3 win at 91-96.

Cleveland also dominates Warriors in all 3 scoring departments, leading by 6.1% in FG% at 46.1%-40%, 3FG% at 42.9 vs 35.3% and 70.8% – 58.3% in FT%.

Cavaliers is now only 2 win away from the coveted NBA title. With the game 4 scheduled on Thursday June 11 also at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, can the Cavs make it a 3-1 series lead or can Steph Curry and the Warriors even the series before going back to their home-court in Golden State?
