Rain or shine, the PBA Finals Game 7 did continue and Rain or Shine (the Team) win it. Many of us maybe are getting pissed off by the insane weather nowadays but people in SMART Araneta Coliseum tonight are very happy with Rain or Shine.

It was a close game from the very start which showed that both teams wanted the title. But in the end it was Rain or Shine who prevailed over the fan favored B-MEG Llamados. Yeng Guiao’s team ended the game at 76-83 and went home with their first ever PBA Champioship title.

E-Painters was led by Jamelle Cornley with his 20 pts, 14 rebounds and 1 assist followed by Jeffrei Chan with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Gabe Norwood also helped in scoring 15 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists.

On the other hand, the Llamados are led by former MVP James Yap who scored 23 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists. Marcus Blakely was also a big help with his double doubles at 15 points, 16 rebounds with 1 assist.

It was really an exciting game that made the record breaking 21K+ attendance, up on their seats. It was only on the 1st quarter that E-Painters led in double digits at 22-35. But during the 2nd and 3rd quarter Llamados managed to keep the deficit into 2 points (48-50 and 64-68 respectively). But in the end Rain or Shine pushed a little more to edge B-Meg with 7 points lead and take with them the PBA Governor’s Cup Trophy.
